History is Made

November 5, 2008

Congratulations to the American people for electing Barack Obama the 44th President of the United States.  This landmark event is of significance to all people, all over the world who have fought and will continue to fight for justice and human rights.

Rosa sat,

so Martin could walk,

so Obama could run,

so our children could fly.

This is such a surreal moment. I’m still basking. Imagine how Obama must feel. Wow.

    ((((( GWEN ))))))

I was thinking of you all last night, Gwen.

When I reflect on the momentous nature of what occurred, I find myself welling up with tears.

The entire world celebrates with the U.S. today. This is such an amazing turning point in history.
